Smallville season 7 is packed with episodes that are full of intense action, stunning surprises, and incredible suspense that is what makes the show more popular than ever, beginning with the season premier that aired on September 27, 2007. Smallville season 7 has tons of drama, action, and all of the great adventures that keep us glued to the boob tube for every episode.
The now famous cast members of Smallville season 7 include Tom Welling, Kristin Kreuk, Allison Mack, Michael Rosenbaum, Aaron Ashmore, John Glover, and many others. Not only are there many returning characters and regular cast members, but there are also many new classic Superman characters as well that make their appearances on Smallville season 7.
The focus of Smallville season 7 centers on Clark Kent teaming up with his cousin Kara, teaching her how to use and control her powers. Kara is also the fantastic SuperGirl. As far as Lex Luthor and Lana Lang go, after it is revealed that Lana faked her own death, her behavior towards her friends and Lex is beginning to be questioned.
Chloe tries to come to grips with her newly discovered kryptonite induced power, and we discover that Grant Gabriel of the Daily Planet has a secret. Clark also faces Brainiac during Smallville season 7, and tries to deal with Lex Luthor s knowledge of his father s secret society.
Fans also saw during Smallville season 7 that two new regular cast members were brought to the show. Jimmy Olsen, who first appeared as a recurring guest in season six, and Kara, Clark s cousin, who is played by actress Laura Vandervoort. Kara s backstory is that she was sent to look after Clark, but was stuck in suspended animation for eighteen years. When the dam broke in the season six finale Phantom , she was set free. She has all of Clark s abilities, as well as the ability to fly.
Smallville season 7 also brought in more actors with previous connections to the Superman history. Helen Slater, who played Supergirl in the 1984 film of the same name, was cast as Clark s biological mother. She made appearances in episodes six and eight in Smallville season 7. Dean Cain, who played Clark Kent/Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, would have a guest role in the fourth episode of season 7. James Marsters was brought back as Milton Fine/Brainiac for four episodes. Marsters had not appeared on the show since the season five finale Vessel . This season also saw the return of Sam Jones III as Pete Ross, after a four year absence from the show.
Any fan of Smallville season 7 will be thrilled to know that the entire season is available on DVD now, and there are several different sets of DVDs for all of the seasons so far.
